Have you set your 2017 health, fitness, wellbeing and weight loss goals yet?
Well, 2017 is here and it’s time to get really clear about how I’m going to improve my health and fitness this year.
I still want to lose weight this year and whilst this is super important to me, my focus is on being healthy rather than losing weight at any cost.
So here are my health, fitness, wellbeing and weight loss Goals for 2017
I’m keeping my goals simple. I find if I introduce too many goals, I don’t stay focused on them and don’t achieve them.
I want to improve my general health, wellbeing, fitness and lose some weight.
Drink lots of water
I will drink a minimum of 5 glasses of water daily.
Take the Drink more water challenge
Get outside and walk
Walk Indie daily 5 days a week. (Indie’s my little dog for those of you who don’t know. Like me he likes to be inside in the warm or roaming the garden). I’m not setting any sort of distance or time per walk for this goal to start. I’m just pushing myself to actually get outside.
Walk 30 minutes per day, at least 3 times per week by end of January.
I will review this goal again at the end of each month.
Take the 10,000 daily steps challenge
Add in mini-exercise boosts
I will do 5+ mini exercise boosts daily, 5 days per week.
Swimming/Bowling/long (hour plus) walk
I will go swimming, bowling or on a long (hour plus) walk at least once per month.
Add vegetables to all lunch and evening meals. Always have at least 5 portions of fruit and veg daily.
Keep meals clean and simple and watch portion sizes
I will use fresh vegetables, good quality meats and ensure there is plenty of space around the edge of the plate. I will use the plates with the large rims and only place food in the dip.
I will ask “Have I accomplished this goal at every meal”.
Watch my portion size video.
Read fiction books
This is my chill out, relax goal for the year. I read a lot on a daily basis through my work but over the past few years I’ve hardly read any fiction books and I really enjoy it. So I’m making sure I take time to myself to read fiction.
I’m currently reading Harry Potter – The cursed child Let me know if you’re a Harry Potter fan and If you’ve read it, what you think?
My son also bought my Fantastic Beasts for Christmas, so It’s going to be a J.K. Rowling start to the year.
Read 12 fiction books, just for the love of it by the end of 2017
Do a fitness workout
Starting goal – I will do at least 1 fitness workout from YouTube weekly by the end of January. I’m easing into this one.
I will review this goal monthly to make it more specific.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
I will use EFT daily to keep the positive energy in my body flowing, release negative emotions and blocks. This will also help me to stay feeling really positive and energized.
I introduce EFT in my FREE 30-day weight loss challenge Designed to help create a positive mindset for better health and weight loss.
I will use EFT at least 5 times a week by the end of January.
Use the law of attraction to support me
As a qualified law of attraction practitioner, I fully intend to use this incredible power to help me achieve all of my goals.
I will write my ideal life story with a focus on my body, health, fitness and wellbeing by the end of January.
(I’ll share this on the blog).
Affirmations to support me
I will also come up with my 2017 affirmations list to support me by end of January.
For ideas, if you want to do this, read Affirmations for weight loss I’ll share my new list here on the blog too.
I will weigh 11 stone by the end of February.
I actually have no idea what I weigh at the moment. I know I’ve put a little on over the last month or so, especially over Christmas. I know I’m over 11 stone, so I’ll dig out the scales (not a fan of them and definitely don’t advise getting on them too regularly) and I’ll see what my weight is, then get to work at reducing the numbers over the next couple of months.
So these are my goals for the year, I’ll be coming back at least monthly to review these goals. My aim is to build in habits to my day to day life rather than go mad in January and then give up.
