I’ve put this EFT script together to help shift old and limiting beliefs that could be keeping us stuck with regards to losing weight and building positive healthy habits.
Use this script as a guide. If something doesn’t quite fit for you switch it for something that’s a better fit for you personally.
We’re going to do two rounds today. I recommend that you do this EFT session every day this week (at least do the positive 2nd round every day if time is short). I definitely encourage you to do the full round at least once.
I like to follow this idea with EFT.
Tap out the negatives and tap in the positives.
A few tips before you start tapping
- Drink a glass of water before and after tapping
- Tap gently
- Do a few nice deep breaths before you start.
EFT weight loss script – Letting go of old beliefs
Karate chop point (side of your hand) – I know that I have old, limiting beliefs that have caused me to become overweight. I am ready now to let them go.
Karate chop – I know that whilst I have changed some beliefs to support me in losing weight, I still have some old and negative beliefs that are keeping me stuck. I’m ready to let them go.
Karate chop – I know that I have some limiting beliefs that don’t support me in achieving my ideal weight. I’m ready now to let them all go.
Start of the eyebrow – Negative beliefs about losing weight
Side of the eye – Negative thoughts about my body
Under the eye – Negative thoughts about what I look like
Under the nose – I’ve had these beliefs for so many years, it’s hard to change them
Chin – Yet I know that these old and limiting beliefs keep me stuck in a place that I don’t want to be
Collarbone – Maybe I can let go of these old beliefs that keep me stuck
Under the arm – Maybe I’ve been holding onto these beliefs because it feels like a safe place to be
Top of the head – Maybe I can start some new beliefs now that do support me
Take a nice deep breath and now we’ll do a positive round
Round two – Tap in the positives
Start of the eyebrow – I choose to believe in myself
Side of the eye – I choose to love and accept my body
Under the eye – I choose to be grateful for my body
Under the nose – I choose beliefs that support me
Chin – I fill my mind with thoughts that support me
Collarbone – I look at my body now with love and acceptance
Under the arm – I see my body now as amazing
Top of the head – I love and accept myself
Take a deep breath and have a drink of water.
A note about the words “I love and accept myself”
When I first learned EFT, we were taught to say thing like ” Love and accept myself” in all EFT Sessions. In my EFT Master Practitioner training, I studied the EFT heart and soul protocol. In this style of EFT, these words are removed.
The theory behind removing these words is that people could use EFT for things like a Spider Phobia. Then if we start saying things like “I love and accept myself” then this could throw up a whole new set of problems. Maybe the person doesn’t really feel like they love and accept themselves but this is not the issue they are using EFT for.
However, I feel strongly when it comes to weight loss, these words are incredibly important and powerful.
So I encourage you to leave these words in. If you feel uncomfortable saying them or feel that they are not true for you, just keep tapping on it.
You could even do a full round (or more) simply saying I feel uncomfortable with the words “I love and accept myself”
