I wanted to check in and see how you’re all doing this week. I’m tired this week. School finishes for my son in exactly 2 weeks and then we’re off on our hols. I have a lot of work in my coaching business to get finished up before I go away and I think we are both super tired and ready for a good break.
I shared my weight loss goals for the week on Monday and it’s going okay, sort of. My steps challenge is a big goal for me. I really want to get past the 10,000 mark every day this week and ideally have 3 days where I get up to 15,000. I have to say last night, I was literally stood at the side of my bed walking on the spot to get past 10,000 before I fell into the bed.
Honestly if I don’t manage my 15,000 days this week. I’m fine with that. Had I have pushed for that yesterday I’d have been crying or in a heap on the floor. Probably both.
At the end of the day, we all know when enough is enough and it’s time to sleep, put your feet up…
I know the super fit would say, push yourself harder. No pain, no gain. Well, I’ve never been a fan of pain in any degree, so that’s not going to motivate me, EVER!
I’m done looking for the quick fixes. They haven’t worked for me for over 14 years. I’m in this for the long run. Gradually getting fitter, healthier and slimmer.
Instead of focusing on the fact that it’s Wednesday already and I’ve only just managed my 10,000 steps for the past 2 days and 15,000 steps feels like it’s not going to happen today either, I’m focusing on the fact that I’ve achieved most of my goals each day so far this week.
If I only do 10,000 steps every day this week, that’s fine. 6 months ago I was walking around 2000 steps a day, sometimes less. So I’m saying “Yey, me. You go girl. You’re amazing. I love you!”
Now onto something else. Now this is really important.
I got these new sandals. My son told me I look ridiculous in then with my 3/4 trousers. Flip flops hurt my legs on a 30 minute, quite fast walk and I don’t like putting my trainers on when it’s nice weather unless it’s a really long walk. What do you think? Oops, don’t look at my toe nails. They desperately need repainting.
And I just thought I’d share this lovely picture of my baby sweet peppers. I’m into having them grilled or even better done on the BBQ. Yummy.
Let me know how your week is going.
Stay positive my lovely friends, keep it real and love yourself loads.
