Well, my Spring Healthy Living Challenge has had to be put on hold. I’ve been struggling with the flu since Monday and feeling pretty terrible.
I’ve eaten whatever I’ve felt up to as I’ve wanted to. Chicken soup (delivered by my lovely mum) has been my comfort food. Some days I’ve felt like eating more than others.
Other days I’ve nibbled on rich tea biscuits and not much more to settle my tummy.
I’ve been drinking lots too, trying to flush out all the nasties.
So I definitely didn’t stick to my meal plan this week. It’s been really important for me to listen to what my body wanted each day.
I have managed to do some work this week although, thankfully I’ve also been able to get lots of rest too and plenty of sleep as coughing as allowed.
I’ve watched a load of daytime tv and in the afternoon there have been films on. I have to admit they’re a bit rubbish but easy watching when you’re feeling unwell.
I am feeling a little better today and it’s time to start focusing on feeling better.
I love my affirmations and this is one of the one’s I’m using now.
And a few more…
I’m feeling stronger and healthier now
I listen to what my body needs
My body is recovering fast now
My natural state is healthy and well
I’m feeling better and better now
Okay, so that was my week. I’m pleased to be ending it feeling a bit better. I know I’ll be back to normal really quickly.
So do you have any tips to deal with the flu? Please share them below.
Hopefully, next week I’ll be able to report a much better week.
For now, I’m getting myself snuggled up on the sofa with some more chicken soup.
