I want to do a quick update on the Spring Healthy Living Challenge. I designed this challenge to lose weight, get healthier, fitter and get us all feeling great.
Whilst my blog is called Ideal Weight Challenge, I do want to point out that I’m all about positive weight loss and building positive healthy habits.
The Spring Challenge
You can read the full blog post at Spring Healthy Living Challenge. Here’s a recap and how I’ve been doing, I’d love you to join in or if you’re already doing the challenge, let me know how you’ve been getting on.
7 STEPS TO A HEALTHY LIVING SPRING
Up your water intake. I really know that drinking a lot of water makes a big difference to my weight loss and the way I feel. I’m out and about a lot at the moment, so I’ve been taking a bottle of water with me to make sure I still keep my water intake up. I’m probably not quite drinking as much as I want to.
30+minutes of exercise daily – I’m not going to say I’ve been exercising daily, but I’m back into walking 30+ minutes most days. The weather has really improved which definitely makes things easier.
Use the weekly meal planner Plan out all of your meals – 50/50 with this one. We’ve had loads going on lately and this routine has slipped a bit. I have been planning my shopping around healthy meals, so there aren’t really too make non-healthy options I could opt for. There’s always plenty to throw together. For me, it definitely helps with the weather being warmer. I’m happy with quick and easy salads.
Daily affirmation – I love my affirmations and they really do help me stay positive. Follow me on twitter for daily affirmations.
Mirror work – EVERY day – Morning, Night and any time in between, stand in front of a mirror and say “I LOVE YOU” – This one’s easy for me, I got into this habit a long time ago and it really helped me feel positive about myself and my life.
SPRING CLEAN your home – I did have a good clean through, although I need to do a full quick clean and tidy today (my usual Friday routine so the house looks nice for the weekend) and I’m doing a fair bit of decluttering along the way too. I’m certainly not a hoarder, but I’ve got a few things I know I need to get rid of.
Give yourself a SPRING BOOST – Got another haircut booked next week, got a nice Facemask ready for this evening and YES, it’s finally time to get my flip flops out and going to paint my toe nails this evening.
Top tip – Take your time applying body lotion, as you apply to each area of your body, say I love my hands, I love my arms… This is a wonderful self love exercise you can do every day.
May weight loss goal
My May weight loss goal is to weigh 11 stone or less.
Every single day I write this goal down as if I’ve already achieved it.
Like this: I weigh 11 stone or even less by the end of May.
Continue to follow the 7 steps in the Spring Healthy Living Challenge.
Long term I’m aiming for 10 Stone or less by July 15th 2016. My ideal weight used to be 9 stone 2 but that was 15 years ago, so when I get below 10 stone, I’ll monitor how I feel and if i want to lose any more.
What are your goals for May?
I’d really love to hear from you, have you set your goals for May? Are you doing the Spring Challenge?
Okay, the washer has finished so I’m off to peg the bedding out on the line ( a few extra steps), quick clean upstairs a 15 minute or so walk with Indie before I get on with recording videos.
