I don’t know about you, but the idea of doing a fitness workout really doesn’t inspire me. Yes, I want to be slim – Yes, I want to be fit and health, but seriously the couch wins out more often than not, especially when I’m tired.
I know all the super fitties will say things like you need to push yourself, Wendy. I do, now and then but I just don’t enjoy it.
So, when I found my now favourite YouTube channel by Lucy Whyndham-Read I knew I had to share this with you. These are exercise videos for people who don’t like to exercise (my words not Lucy’s).
This is the video that got my attention –
Watch it and join in
So, super positive
Lucy does an incredible job and keeping you engaged. She’s pretty much talking all the way through the videos and it’s not that annoying, legs up high kind of stuff. SHe’s super into positive thinking and she’s sharing tips to help you feel better about yourself, get healthier and fitter. I did a 20(ish) minute workout with her the other day and it felt like 5 minutes. I think the thing is that my mind is engaged and I’m not just thinking “When am I done?”
Boost your memory whilst you workout – This is amazing
Full disclosure, the first time I did this one, I was rubbish. My memory is shocking but I’m getting better after doing it a few times. I find this one in particular so much fun.
I think Lucy has really hit on something that no-one else is doing and I love it.
If you do this one, let me know how well you do at remembering the moves. I’d say I got about 20% right the first time.
More than just exercise videos
The videos are mostly exercise videos but Lucy occasionally throws in tips to eat healthy etc. She also has some recipes for healthy eating that are easy to follow. Again, I love these as she’s not one of those types that leave you thinking “I’ll starve!!!”
Check this one out.
These are just a few of the videos I like and Lucy is adding regular videos. I’ve probably only been able to watch about 15 of them so far and I’m so excited to keep trying out other exercise videos with her.
So that’s my little bit of inspiration for the day. Go and take a look for yourself and let me know if you like this as much as I do.
Catch you soon.
