If you’ve been following my posts recently, you’ll know my daily walking and exercise routine went out the window. I’m still playing catch up this week, but things are definitely getting back to some sort of normality. Thank goodness.
So I finally braved dusting off the pedometer last week and I was getting in around 5000 steps most days, so I’m just going to step it up a little this week and aim for 6000 plus steps daily.
It’s still not where I want to be, but it’s a small increase and I know that at the moment I’m far more likely to maintain a small increase than a large one.
If I get in a 10,000 step day I’ll be over the moon, but I know for me personally if I was to set my goal for 10,000 daily steps right now, I’d just not bother trying t achieve it.
Small, manageable goals, that’s my motto.
Mind you it’s 3pm and I’m only just over 2000 steps right now, so I’d better get moving. Yes, I’ve been firmly planted at the computer all day, except for when I drove my son to school. Hopefully next week he’ll be well enough to go on the bus again and I’ll get back to having my morning walk.
Okay I’m off to get the washing in and top up my steps a little bit before I get back in the car for another 45mins plus.
Might catch a little walk when I get back if it’s still light enough. Nights are definitely starting to draw out now aren’t they.
