I’m a huge fan of using EFT for weight loss and all other areas of your life, so I’m delighted to be sharing this particular book with you today.
Today’s book review is The Tapping Solutions for Weight Loss and Body Confidence by Jessica Ortner
I want to start off by saying that as a life coach, law of attraction practitioner and EFT master practitioner, I wholehearted believe that our beliefs and feelings impact us in such a powerful way. They can support us or block us from achieving the things we want.
This book is based on EFT Scripts that Jessica has used herself and with clients to help lose weight and build body confidence.
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. You tap gently on meridian points to improve the energy in your body. EFT (I believe) is one of the most effective methods to release negative emotions and beliefs and increase positive emotions and beliefs that will support us.
What I also love about EFT is that we can use it ourselves. There are times when it is best to work with a qualified practitioner like myself, however with the help of books like The Tapping Solution for Weight Loss and Body Confidence you can easily learn how to effectively use EFT yourself.
EFT for weight loss scripts
I really like that this book has so many EFT scripts to follow. I’ve just done a quick scan through the book and there are approximately 30 different scripts and they’re not just the scripts, there’s a background to each script with loads of examples of when this kind of tapping has been effective in real life situations.

More than just weight loss
I love that this book is not just focusing on weight loss. The subtitle of the book is actually A Woman’s Guide to Stressing Less, Weighing Less and Loving More.
I love this and as an EFT master practitioner, I know how destructive stress is on your body and mind, so this is powerful.
It gets you looking at beliefs and gives practical suggestions
This book really gets you questioning your beliefs and behaviours which is something I believe is essential. I believe that whenever we want to make changes in our life, we first need to work on beliefs and then start to make positive changes to our behaviour. This book helps you to do that brilliantly.

Every few pages you’ll find a quote to inspire you on your weight loss journey and these quotes are also helping you to make positive shifts in your belief system.

I absolutely love this book and how it’s set out. It’s an easy book to use and each section is fairly short so you don’t end up getting bogged down. There’s a really good mix of real life examples, mind exercises, quotes, explanations and EFT scripts.
I advise anyone wanting to lose weight, improve body confidence and in general feel really positive about yourself to buy a copy of this book. More importantly actually do the exercises, follow the tips and do the EFT.
Note: I have the book but you can also buy the audio as well. If you’re new to EFT, it might be an idea to invest in both. Many of my clients tell me that hearing someone else speak the words for the tapping scripts is incredibly useful.
