Tired NOT hungry. Tired NOT hungry.
I don’t know about you, but when I’m tired I feel really hungry. I know I’m really tired today and I’m conscious of this and also conscious of the fact that when I’m tired I just want to eat… anything… EVERYTHING.
So, I’m going to finish this post, go for a nice long bath and then get myself snuggled up in bed with my book.
Let’s talk snacking
I need snacks throughout the day. And I’m trying to think ahead and prepare some delicious healthy snacks. I find that if I get a healthy snack ready before I get really hungry, I eat less. If I leave it while I’m really hungry, I’ll go for crisps and wafers.
Today I’ve snacked on Banana and apple slices with cinnamon. So delicious.
Tomatoes chopped into small pieces with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and a drizzle of honey. I like to leave this to really soak in for a good hour or so. I had it on its own today, but it’s also really nice with cucumber sticks.
I had lunch with my mum today. She’d got a selection of Rivita and some pate. It was really nice and light. So when she offered me an egg custard, I said yes. I love egg custards and I love desserts. I often just eat them because they’re there. So I’m trying to question myself
So I’m trying to question myself when desserts are on offer. Am I feeling full already? Do I really want it?
If I’m already feeling quite full, I’m trying to not have any dessert, even if I really like it.
If it’s not something I really like, then I’m saying “No” too.
I just keep trying to think “Do I want this more than I want to be slim?”
However, if like today, I’ve had a really light meal and I’m offered something I really like, them I’m going to say “Yes” and really enjoy it.
So that’s my day. How’s your day been?
Do you eat when you’re tired?
This little guy looks sound asleep. That’s what I’m hoping for tonight. Night-night.
