I wanted to do a quick weight loss update.
The big news is that I joined Weight Watchers online. I have to tell you, I’m loving it.
As you may know, through the summer things went completely out the window with regards to my weight loss and I pretty much undid all my weight loss success that I’d had.
I’ve always firmly believed that we must have the right mindset if we are to really lose weight consistently and build a healthy lifestyle for ourselves.
I really felt like I needed to feel accountable and also wanted more guidance with the foods I’m eating, so I spent time last weekend looking for what I wanted and eventually decided on Weight Watchers online.
I’m loving it. So last week I tried their NO count option and I felt like I’d eaten loads. I was certainly never hungry and I was eating real food “Proper food” as I call it.
Here’s what I love about Weight Watchers online
- I can choose between No count and counting my smartpoints. I tried No count last week and I’m going to have a go counting the points this week, see which I like best. I felt like I’d eaten loads on the no count but it was all good healthy foods.
- I can add my activity on the app. I really like that I can add my daily steps and I earn more points which for me personally is a huge motivation to get moving.
- I really felt like I needed some form of accountability. Whilst I didn’t really want to go to a meeting. Every day I track my food on the app and every week I add my weight. I have a 24/7 online coach available to me which I used a few times to ask questions with super quick and supportive responses.
- I love the recipes and meal ideas. I’m not that great in the kitchen. So, for me, having all of these amazing and easy recipes is a huge bonus and they’re so yummy.
One thing I’ve done that I’m not sure about is switching to skimmed milk. I’ve been using semi-skimmed milk for years. I don’t mind the taste but I’m not sure it’s as nutritious for me. I’m going to try and do a little research on this one. I’d love your input on this one if you can share any advice.
So here’s the news you really want to hear about. Did I actually lose weight?
Weight loss update – What the scales say
Da, da, dah! Yes, I lost 2lb
I’m really, really happy with this as I did feel like I ate loads and never at any stage felt like I was depriving myself.

I was aiming for 10,000 steps daily but it’s not happened. However, I’m averaging around 8,000+ a day so, I’m actually okay with that. I’ll try to push that up a bit more this week and I’m absolutely loving that I can gain more food points the more steps I do. This is a real motivation for me personally. I’m trying to use my extra points to add more flavour and variety to meals. Plus I’m also going to allow myself some chocolate. I love chocolate and I’ve bought some dark chocolate kitkats to have if I want a chocolate fix.
Favourite meal of the week
Bacon and egg bites. I got this idea from the tv show Eat Well for Less. Here’s the recipe Bacon and egg bites. They’re so super simple to make and on my no count week, these were completely on my No count list. Bonus.
I made these for breakfast twice and I also had them as an evening snack one night.
So that’s my week. Wishing you all a fabulous week ahead.
I’d love to hear how you’re getting on, on your own weight loss journey.
