2 workouts for beginners. If I can do it, I bet you can too.

Hi Everyone, well I’m sat here typing this post up feeling sweaty but very pleased with myself.  I’ve been working out.  Okay, my friends who are really into dance, exercise, the Gym, would probably laugh at the idea of this being a workout but that’s them and this is me.  And right now I’m pleased as punch with myself.

Since thworkouts for beginnners. Two 5 (ish) minutes workouts. e beginning of the year walking has become a big part of my life.  I walk between 30 mins and an hour+ a day 5 days a week when my son’s at school.  But when he’s on school holidays or when it’s the weekend, I tend not to walk so much, it’s just a quick walk with Indie (my dog) and that’s it.

So I decided on the days I don’t have my normal walking routine and when I can get up and don’t need to get dressed straight away for the day, I’m doing workouts.  Honestly though, the idea of a 1-hour workout… Well, let’s just say it’s not going to happen right now.  So I’m doing what I did with my walking.  I’m starting small.

I found Lauren Hefez on YouTube a while ago and really liked her videos.  They tend to be short and targeted.  I like this idea.

I wanted to share the workouts I’ve just done.

I think this is a great workout for beginners

I loved this workout.  I definitely didn’t look like Lauren during this workout, but I had fun and it’s really upbeat and only 5 minutes which I can just about cope with.  I made the mistake though of doing this barefoot.  I think it will be better with my trainers on.

The area I really want to work on now is my tummy.  I feel my eating habits are making a difference, but I now need to start toning my tummy muscles.

When I do traditional sit-ups, my neck really hurts and I really don’t like them.  I’m probably not doing them right either.  So these standing AB exercises are great.  I could really feel the movements in my tummy, so something was definitely happening.  I’ll definitely be keeping up with this workout.

I’m all for starting small and working up.  I think these videos are a great starting point.
