Ready for your health and fitness challenge?
THE CHALLENGE: Complete 1 exercise video a day for 30 days.
If you think you don’t have the time for this challenge, keep reading, I’ve got a solution.
Now if this seems like it’s going to be hard work or take up too much of your time, I have some tips for you.
Check out these two blog posts with recommendations for short workouts.
I absolutely love Lucy Wyndham-Read’s YouTube channel. Lots of her workouts are really quick but effective. She’s definitely my favourite person on YouTube right now and her style really appeals to me personally as I’m really not a natural lover of exercise.
- There are absolutely loads of YouTube exercise workout videos, do a search until you find something that connects with you and you enjoy.
- Buy an exercise DVD you enjoy.
TOO Busy to Exercise
If the thought of doing this challenge has you thinking, I’ll never be able to fit that in. I’m too busy, I recommend you find a video that’s short but enjoyable for you and have this as your Go To workout for busy days.
Here’s my quick GO TO video It’s focusing on arm exercises only so I wouldn’t want to just do this every day, but on my busy, busy days. I do a quick warm up, walking on the spot, moving my arms about or up and down the stairs etc, just to warm up. then less than 5 minutes. Seriously, you have 5 minutes.
By having your Go To video, you don’t have to go searching. You just get on with it.
Mix it up.
Don’t do the same video every day. Mix it up and make it interesting. Focus on your arms one day, your legs another day, a total body work-out the next day/ Make it fun and you’re more likely to stick to it.
Track your size not your weight
My top tip for this challenge is to measure your waist rather than using the scales. Now, I’m not a fitness expert or anything like that but I understand that muscle weighs more than fat, so as you’re building muscle and hopefully losing fat, your weight on the scales won’t go down. But your body will.
