Throughout our weight loss journey, it’s so important to stay as positive as possible. Today I’ve got 7 positive weight loss thoughts to share with you to keep you motivated.
1. Small Changes You Can Keep
Small changed that you can stick with forever are better than big changes that you only stick with for a few weeks. It might mean a slower weight loss but that’s better than yo-yo dieting and a diet you can’t maintain.
2. A small weight loss is great
I often hear people say things like “I only lost half a pound” as if this is a really big fail for them. I totally get it that you want the big weight losses, but here’s the thing, any weight loss is better than a weight gain or even staying the same. I very much doubt that you put on all of your weight in a week. It takes time, just as it takes time to lose it. Focus on a healthy for life goal rather than the fast route that you can’t maintain.
3. Focus on the big picture
Often what happens when we decide we want to lose weight is that we start off losing quite a bit in a fairly short time and then things slow down. This is when we can get demotivated. How much have you lost over a longer time rather than your weekly weight loss?
4. Getting more active
Keep asking yourself, what can I do today to be more active? What can I do this afternoon to get active? Try to build a more active lifestyle. Going to organized fitness classes are great but also try to add more and more everyday activities. Make it a lifestyle.
5. My ideal weight

6. A healthier day
Every day ask “How can I make my day a healthier one? And remember to focus on small changes that you can consistently build into your day to day life.
7. Love yourself
Every single day (lots of times throughout the day ideally) stand in front of the mirror, really look at yourself and say “I love you, you’re doing great”
